The Mayor came to meet the workforce and to open a newly built garden house in the refurbished Chilstone show gardens. Also present were the ladies of the Pickering Drop-in centre who were presented with a Chilstone urn and a decorated Easter Egg to be raffled at the forthcoming May Ball. The General Manager of Chilstone, Steve Clark, is pictured escorting the distinguished visitors around the garden. The show gardens are open to the public every day over the Spring and Summer and admission is free.
