Roman Bench for Hampton Court

[caption id="attachment_1301" align="aligncenter" width="300"]A sketch of the garden A sketch of the garden[/caption] Chilstone have made a bespoke  roman bench for a charming Roman garden at this year's RHS Hampton Court flower Show. The garden is the creation of Paolo Arrigo of Franchi Seeds and is a recreation of the kind of gardens the romans enjoyed in Britain in the 1st Century. The garden was inspired by the splendid roman remains at Fishbourne Roman Palace near Chicester. Roman gardens have had a strong influence on the English and Italian gardens by using a combination of stonework (for shade and ornamentation), water (for cooling and irrigation) and flowers (for scent and decoration) The RHS Hampton Court Flower Show extends from July 9 - 14th 2013.
