Ride London to Surrey for 3H Fund!
Friday, July 24, 2015
Our General Manager Steve has been training extremely hard behind the scenes for the last few months in order to prepare for the Prudential London - Surrey charity bike ride (100 miles in under 5.5 hours) on 2nd August. As part of his training Steve has cycled over 1,500 miles, attended 20 spinning classes (anyone who's been to one will know how hard these are!!) and completed 40 gym sessions (all this has resulted in him loosing over 1.5 stone in weight!) He's now well and truly ready for the task at hand, and we're all sure he'll do well. There's just one more thing he needs to do; secure some more donations and reach his goal of raising £2,000 for charity!
3H fun helps disabled children and their carers have a wonderful break- above is one of the activities they'll get up to!Steve says:
"My final target is to raise much needed funds for a local charity for severely handicapped children. 3H Fund raise money to send these children on a special holiday and to give their parents and carers some well-earned respite. It is difficult to give these children a holiday as they need so much care, 24 hours a day. This is obviously costly, around £2400.00 per child for a week’s holiday. My aim is to raise enough money to send at least one child on one of these special breaks."Currently the total is at £1,270 - there's just 9 days left to raise £730 in order to reach the goal! Will you help him get there today? All you need to do is visit: uk.virginmoneygiving.com/StephenClark100 and click 'donate now' you can choose any amount that works for you; every little helps!
