Thank you to everyone who attended our very successful Open Weekend and helped to make it such a success! Hundreds of people came to view the newly refurbished show gardens.
The gardens have never looked better and were a testament to 18 months of hard work by the Chilstone team not to mention our expert landscape gardener Jason. A tribute too to the architect of the garden the much missed Anthony du Gard Pasley who designed the gardens many years ago.
After a pretty tough winter the gardens were blooming as if in response to the TLC lavished upon it by our staff. Flowers bloomed and fountains played as car after car turned up to see the wonderful new sculptures and objects d'art on display.
Works by Eric Duggan, Ev Meynell, Jonathan Hately and David Harber were on display - as were the artists themselves!
Polly and the crew of our favourite charity The Pickering Trust dispensed good cheer and plenty of tea and once again David and his friends at Cat & Mouse summerhouses were on hand to add tone to the occasion (not to mention a rather tasty barbecue). Local crafts were also present along with our good friend Paul of Signal Print.
Summer has just begun though, so come and see us at our next local event at the Penshurst Craft Fair (May 1st-May 3rd at Penshurst Place).
