Hampton Court Flower Show Garden - A Growing Obsession
Wednesday, June 24, 2015
You may have heard us mention our wonderful collaborative effort, A Growing Obsession, is set for this year's (very special 25th anniversary version of) Hampton Court... the wonderful ladies of Wardrop Garden Designs have been working so hard, the build is now in full swing and the beautiful Victorian inspired garden is really starting to take shape. We dropped by this week to get some photos of the progress so far to share with you...
The Chilstone balustrading had just been put in place when we arrived- it's looking great!
What a fabulous location the garden is in, this view shows one of the landmarks to look out for- the hospitality restaurant, we're also really close to the Rose entrance (South entrance), which is the quieter (and nicest in our opinion) way to enter the show grounds. The first thing you'll see when entering this way is the incredible anniversary maze by Tony Smith, which also features Chilstone urns! (We'll be blogging about this wonderful feature soon- watch this space).
The paving and glorious Griffin Glasshouse having taken their places...
The team are working hard, but not stressing! It's all looking glorious in the sunshine, and soon swathes of English lavender (sponsor Yardley's signature scent) and romantic roses will arrive The garden, sponsored by Yardley and Perennial, has been meticulously researched and put together to re-create the elegance of a Victorian lady's flower garden... a delightful new range of Yardley scents are launching alongside the garden, so remember to sample the scents whilst visiting. Not long to go now! Have you got your tickets? If you are coming along make sure you bookmark or save this handy Hampton Court map so you don't get lost! Or download a PDF version of the map here: Hampton Court Flower Show 2015 map If you have any landscaping, DIY or garden improvement questions whilst you're at the show we will have team members on hand from Monday- Wednesday, so do stop by A Growing Obsession garden, we're always happy to chat.
