Chilstone on Tour
Friday, July 17, 2009
Summer is of course the season of village fetes and country shows and it would be hard to imagine an English summer without them. Chilstone are keen supporters of this great tradition. Already this year we have attended shows at Penshurst, Langton Green and Firle Place. Our next show will be the Chilterns Craft Show at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames. The show is held for 4 days from 28-31 August 2009. Chilstone will be demonstrating the fine art of making garden ornaments by hand. There will also be many other country skills on display such as wood carving, thatching and hand made jewellery - there will be something for everyone and it will be well worth visiting the show. Watch out also for our life-sized statue of Jambo the Gorilla (see below) - back by popular request! There are further details at www.ichf.co.uk and look out for information on preferential ticket rates. Later in the summer, we will also be at the Weald of Kent Show at the wonderful Penshurst Place. This show takes place on 11-13 September 2009. Details of both shows are on the ICHF website.
