Chilstone general manager, Steve Clark, visited the Chelsea Flower Show to visit a number of exhibitors who have worked with Chilstone in the past. In the picture (left) Steve is seen visiting the beautiful Barakura English Garden, which was an award winner at the prestigious show. The garden is an English flower garden planted with Japanese flowers and other exotic touches. The garden was designed by Kay Yamada and contains a 'Seikaiha' an inscribed pattern in sand that is a hallmark of a Japanese Garden.
The Barakura Gardens in Japan are flag bearers of the English garden style in Japan, where the style is a great favourite.
Steve is shown with Mr Shugo Tagawa, divisional chief of the Barkura Gardens. In 2001 Chilstone won a Gold Medal at the Barakura Show in Japan.
